Our Partners

Sustainability at Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs Utrecht is not a trend. It’s part of who we are. For us, sustainable business is not about ticking a box — it’s about rethinking how we operate, what we offer, and how we create impact. Every choice we make, from catering and energy use to waste reduction and social initiatives, is made with the future in mind.
Not because we have to, but because we want to — and because it’s the way forward. Together with our clients and partners, we are building a future where events contribute positively to people, planet and society.

Events that accelerate sustainability
Change

From CO₂ reporting and sustainable catering to circular stand construction, we actively help organisers make measurable impact. Our goal: every event at Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs Utrecht should contribute to a more sustainable future.

For every conference, exhibition, meeting or other event at Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs Utrecht , we plant a tree through our partnership with Trees for All. We also invite exhibitors and organisers to join us by donating a tree themselves, so that together we can grow this impactful forest.

The delicious cookies served at our events are freshly baked by De Koekfabriek. A social enterprise that provides meaningful work for people who face barriers to employment, including people with disabilities. Every bite supports inclusion and participation.

Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs Utrecht hosts charity galas, educational initiatives and community events that bring people together and support local social causes.

Everyone belongs. We use our knowledge, space and resources to support initiatives that strengthen society — from health and equality to community projects. By sharing what we have, we help create opportunities for all.

Our vegetarian-first catering approach cuts emissions by up to 50%, while waste separation and reuse keep materials in the loop, not in landfills.

Our goal is clear: Royal Jaarbeurs will be CO₂ neutral by 2030. We are already taking significant steps, including reducing food waste, cutting energy use, and implementing circular materials throughout our operations.
